Overview

In the evolving landscapes of commercial vehicles, consumer electronics and industrial devices, the trend toward miniaturization continues to accelerate. This shrinkage in device size amplifies the demand for compact connector solutions, essential for managing the limited space available for electrical components. The Squba 3.60mm- and 1.80mm-Pitch Sealed Connector System rises to the challenge, offering a space-efficient design tailored for applications where real estate is at a premium.

Typically, as electrical capabilities expand, so does the need for larger currents, which usually leads to the use of thicker wires. This can increase both product size and production cost for manufacturers of consumer devices. Squba connectors alleviate these pain points by accommodating up to 14.0A using 16 to 24 AWG wire, providing a high-power solution without the need for bulkier wires that competitors might require. Exposure to moisture is another problem in many applications, posing a risk to the integrity of unsealed connectors. The Squba Sealed Connector System offers a robust solution with its UL-approved, IP68-rated seals, ensuring consistent and reliable performance even in damp environments.

Furthermore, the integrity of seals is crucial, as damage during assembly, handling, transport or use can result in product malfunctions. Squba connectors are designed with protective caps to safeguard these seals, enhancing the reliability of the connections. In addition, the connectors’ caps aid in the correct insertion of terminals, shielding the seal from potential damage during the assembly process. This thoughtful design feature contributes to the durability and longevity of the end products in which they are used.
